How we make money
A review site you can't see the incentives of is a review site you can't trust. Here are ours, in full.
1 · Affiliate commissions
When you click through to some meal delivery services from our pages and make a purchase, we may earn a commission from that service or its affiliate network. This costs you nothing extra. Pages containing these links carry a disclosure near the first link.
- We link to services whether or not they pay us, and we include direct (non-commission) links where relevant.
- Commission rates and relationships never influence scores, rankings, or how prominently a brand appears. The scoring formula is public on our methodology page and contains no commercial input.
- We do not accept payment to write, improve, suppress or remove a review or score.
2 · Who owns this site
Ownership disclosure
MealPrepReviews.com.au is owned and operated by the same company that owns Foober (foober.com.au) and Vegan Soul (vegansoul.com.au) — two Australian meal delivery brands that compete with services covered on this site.
Because of that, we hold those two brands to stricter rules than everyone else:
- They are badged ("Owned by our parent company") every single place they appear — tables, lists, review pages, comparisons.
- They are permanently excluded from our ranked "best of" lists. They can have review pages scored by the identical public rubric, but they never occupy a rank position.
- Review data and moderation rules apply to them exactly as to every other brand — including negative findings, which we publish.
We don't describe this site as independent, and won't. What we can offer instead is something checkable: a published formula, dated and attributed sources, and own-brand exclusion from rankings.
3 · Advertising & featured placements
We may in future run display advertising or clearly-labelled "Featured" placements. If we do: featured placements will be labelled, shown in a fixed position that is not a rank, will not move when you sort a table, and will remain excluded from scores and "best of" claims. Display ads will be visually distinct from editorial content.
4 · What we compare
We track most, but not all, of the Australian meal delivery market — the current roster is on Brands we track, and that page notes the categories we don't yet cover. Absence from the roster means we haven't verified a brand's data yet, not that we recommend against it.
